In September 2003, Mangan Group Architects began using a product called "Revit" as it's next generation software. Revit is produced by AutoDesk, the people who also manufacture AutoCAD software. It has been extremely well accepted and integrated. Though its benefits are not being fully utilized by builders, this brief description should make them apparent. Mangan Group currently starts all new work in this "Smart-Plan" format. The Smart-Plan format are plans that are derived from a computer model. The concept is referred to as BIM (Building Information Model) technology, where the structure is built rather than drawn.
